BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR!

Here’s a bit of a twist on that ancient maxim.  I have had several clients lately complain that they got exactly what they asked for in visualization.  They are complaining because they didn’t really ask for what they wanted!  Be careful.  The process can work like magic…  but like magic, it does exactly what you ask, not necessarily what you meant.  Case in point

Kathy asked for and got the perfect relationship.   I mentioned her in this newsletter over a year ago.  She did a great visualization of herself and a mate; her picture had all kinds of symbols important to her, such as a cross in the background standing for spirituality; within hours of sending off the visualization she met the man who fulfilled the picture perfectly.  She lived happily ever after.

Oops.  Not exactly.  She has a wonderful relationship with this man, which is what she asked for, but what she really WANTED was a marriage, which he is apparently not interested in.  Nowhere in her visualization did she mention or symbolize marriage.  She thought that was implied, but the ‘ethers’ or whatever it is that makes such visualizations materialize, do not work on ‘assumptions’ or ‘implications.’  They work, like the children they are, on very specific literal requests.

So be careful that what you WISH for is really what you WANT.  Be specific.  You’re working with child-like mentalities here.
